Want to know how to promote fiverr gigs and get more customers and more sales? 

I was chatting with Chris W on skype recently who is living in Canada and currently doing about $500 dollars a day on fiverr.com. $500 dollars a day is pretty impressive, but told me that the reason most people fail to make money on fiverr is they put up a gig, and sit back ready for a massive flood of sales to come streaming in from day one. 

They soon find that days pass, and not a single order has been made.  Most people fail to realize Fiverr is NOT a customer getting machine, in the early days Chris spent half of his time promoting his gig, and the other half fulfilling orders that were coming through. In the early stages he said there were 2 or 3 a day, but soon after his gig caught on and even got media attention and soon after he was receiving 20 - 30 a day 7 days a week. 

Chris told me that you have to know where to promote, and how to promote fiverr gigs to attract the right customers in the first place. Then if you do have a good gig, you will start to see fantastic results pretty quickly and things will just snowball from there.

TIP #1

The most important tip is to offer a quality gig and make sure it is worth more than just $5. Do this and people will keep returning to you and buy your gig over and over.

Ask you customers for feedback and friends also, if they tweet about your gig it will be brilliant social proof. 

TIP #3

Remember to tag your gigs properly are but you may want to consider optimizing your tags to the max. This may help bring you some targeted traffic. Make sure you add the max amount of tags to help the search engines find you and to increase the likelihood of getting more sales.

Share your gig with friends on facebook. Social media is becoming very big nowadays, and can get you a lot of fast exposure.

Always deliver the best to your buyer, to get his positive rating, good feedback and make sure you tell them to refer friends to your gig. 

TIP #6

Test your gig description for better results. Keep testing your copy and keywords and get in the mind of your ideal customers. What exactly do they want? Become your customer for a day and think like them. It will help you to write a better description.

Use forums and classified ads. Chris did this in the beginning and spent just an hour of the day posting on these sites as they are free to use. He still receives orders from these ads that were posted over a year ago.

Run express gigs. You need to realize most fiverr buyers are impatient and hate waiting more than 24 hours for a gig to be completed. See if you can run an express gig and carry out tasks quicker than your competitors. Then buyers will gravitate towards you, and is a good way to get repeat buyers also.

Use Google Adwords. Yes, as crazy as this might sound, there are lots of gig owner that use google ppc to get their initial customers. It does not cost too much, and will help you test to see which gigs are going to perform the best early on. Lots of high volume sellers on fiverr use adwords with very good results.

Upload a promotional video to YOUTUBE. Ensure your video give benefits and is appeasing to the eyes.  Even if you cannot create a video yourself, get someone else of fiverr to do this for you. There is a vast array of talent there and video is such a great tool in this day and age of marketing. Once you have VIDEO ensure you upload it to your fiverr gig page. The gigs that have video included always seem to increase sales by up to 500%

TIP #11

Go over to yahoo answers and help people by answering their questions and then direct people back over to your fiverr gig. Do not spam! I repeat do not spam! Help people first and then delicately promote your site. It can get you lots of traffic and sales.

The most important way to stand out from the competition on fiverr is to get a video that explains your services--brand yourself personally. There are many similar services on fiverr--what makes you stand out is the unique spin that you put on your gig.

The title of your gig should be keyword rich -AND explain precisely what benefits the BUYER is getting from using your services. 

Your description is KEY. You only have seconds to explain why a customer should buy your gig.  The description needs to grab attention explain why the buyer should choose you over someone else. In the section, try to communicate to the prospect that they are getting way more value than anywhere else--that this is a LIMITED time offer on fiverr; and that your services or product is available for WAY MORE elsewhere.

Finally, give away something-a BONUS of sort, or the bribe--whichever you want to call it. Hardly anyone does this and will set you apart from the other sellers, and will attract repeat customers. Repeat customers is what you want with fiverr as it can make you lots of money quickly.

Also another very basic way to make money every day offline is to do odd jobs, such as lawn mowing, snow shoveling, laundry, leaf raking, and gardening, in your neighborhood. Often, you can get a lot of people who are willing to pay for you to do these things. If you have a pickup truck or van, it may make it easier to accomplish the tasks you want done. One of the best parts about doing this type of work is the free word-of-mouth advertising your customers will provide for you as long as you do a good job.

There is no doubt that you will be able to earn cash each and every day, provided you have a good attitude and stay committed to solid plan. Once you start earning money and gaining confidence, it will become easier to repeat success over and over again. The sky is the limit!
